DCM2: AC complete, replaced (8) F20x20x2, checked (2) AX49, both systems are fully functional and operating within manufacturer specifications at this time. Leak still undetected; Had helper spray water inside and outside of the unit, while I searched for leaks for an hour. TXV could possibly be malfunction causing the coil to freeze but no signs while performing test, also possible blower motor failing causing evaporator to freeze but blower motor amp draw had no indication of failure and belt was tight. Subcool and super heat are within designed parameters, TXV and blower motor don’t seem to be malfunctioning.

Arrived to conduct inspection of HVAC equipment and performance System is a 2013 Carrier, Furnace and A/C split system that is designed to produce 3.5 tons of cooling capacity and 88,000 BTUs of heating capacity. Ductwork is properly installed utilizing distribution boxes. System would benefit from a second filter and return plenum mounted opposite the current plenum. Blower wheel has a moderate level of dust due to the air velocity, causing filter offload, moving through the single filter. Photo attached Cooling : System is fully functional. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are appropriate for both indoor and outdoor conditions. 19* temperature splits between return and supply. Diagnostics photos are attached Heating : System is fully functional. Removed blower housing and visually inspected heat exchanger. All components are operating as designed. Temperature rise of 59* is within manufacture specifications ( 30-60* ). System is on the high side of acceptable. Diagnostics an

Arrived to No Cool on Upstairs system Identified weak capacitor. Replaced capacitor and tested system. System functioned for 10 minutes and seized drawing 38amp which was LRA for the compressor. Compressor was extremely hot, cooled down with water and tested system. System functions as designed. System does have a high amp draw ; 6.9 for a RLA of 7.7. If system seizes / fails again, compressor replacement is likely. System is still under warranty. Possible cause of early compressor failure, identified improperly mounted and insulated TXV sensing bulb. SH was initially 2-4*, once repositioned and insulted SH increased to 11-13*. Low SH can causing liquid slugging not the rotary compressor System is operational, refrigerant pressures and temperatures indicate the system may be slightly low of R410
